Information Important to all residents of Cherry Hill/
Merchantville/ Pennsauken:
Pegasus Tower has entered into a lease agreement with Merchantville Country Club to build a 150 foot Cell Phone Tower on the grounds of the Merchantville Country Club in close proximity to residents, a playground, a community center and a school. Metro/PCS will be the first carrier on the tower and there will be capacity to add more carriers.
- Studies have shown cell phone towers located in residential neighborhoods have a negative effect on local property values.
- There are legitimate concerns, backed by sound science, of adverse health effects, especially to young children, of constant exposure to cell phone tower electromagnetic radiation.
As citizens we have a right to be heard whether for or
against Pegasus Tower’s plan for our community.
Look into this for yourself, your children, your
neighborhood and the future of our community. Decide where you stand.
- Are there better locations for a cell phone tower in this area that is away from a densely populated residential area, a playground, a community center and a school ?
- Are there better strategies for Merchantville Country Club to obtain revenue and remain a viable business? We all want to see the Country Club thrive. Have alternatives to revenue generation been fully explored?
- Is a new tower at this exact location really needed? Is your own cell phone reception in this area inadequate?
We have one chance to be heard before a variance is
approved.
Merchantville Country Club has already decided – they have entered into a lease agreement with Pegasus to build this tower, contingent upon approval from
the Cherry Hill Zoning board.
Attend the Cherry Hill Zoning Board meeting on Thursday, March 1st at the
Cherry Hill Municipal building 820 Mercer St Cherry Hill, NJ at 7:30 pm, phone (856) 665-6500
We deserve to have these questions answered and our concerns
voiced.
